hope this works...
i'm so angry right now. i just wrote a whole post, but when i tried to publish it, the silly website just got stuck in some endless loop where it kept telling me it was 0% done. great. thanks blogger.com, that's wonderful information. 0% done. there is wit that will be forever lost in cyberspace, never to reach the light of day. so i will try to reconjure most of what i wrote. also, i'm doing this via email, so i'll probably just end up getting an email back saying it's 0% done.
title: best. cover. ever.
so i went to see Nickel Creek on saturday. not only are they spectacular live, but i've learned that they're really good at picking covers. this is something that i envy about them, for sure. case in point, for their encore, they came out and said that their next song would be something written by another artist who they respect and admire. then they played Toxic by Brittany Spears. brilliant. and they did it really well. as much as i don't want to admit it, i think i might like that song now. and get this - the last time i saw them play, they covered Where It's At by Beck. i'm inspired to do much weirder covers in the future.
i'd also like to add on to my last post. the differences between web browsers is worse that i thought. on firefox and safari, as well as internet explorer for macs, the website looks fine. but with internet explorer for windows, the background is tiled. dangit. it's not supposed to do that. i may have to downgrade the website completeness to 32.5%
