3 shalt be the number of topics and the number of topics shalt be 3. 2 shalt thou not make the number, excepting that thou then proceedest to 3.

Okay, I do realize that it's been a really long time since I've posted anything on here. Well, I miss you too. Oh my, thanks for noticing - I've been working out. Anyway, there's been a lot of nothing and something happening, so I will get you caught up.

1) Sports: The Red Wings had their annual playoffs sucking, the Pistons have continued their ascent to the best team in the NBA, the Tigers have been juvenated, the Lions drafted a guy I've never heard of with their first pick, and Michigan football landed a big QB recruit, but the basketball team had a huge recruit decommit. Explain to me how "decommit" is a word. Isn't that a total oxymoron?

2) Wedding: Anna and I are both ready to have the wedding and just be done with it. Seriously, if we could just send out an email that says "Nevermind, we're getting married this weekend" we would. We did, however, find an apartment (in Canton) and buy our wedding bands. Mine is sweet, and made of tungsten carbide. It's the kind of metal used in tanks and for medical purposes. So if I ever need to... um... do something... medical... uh..... My ring is shiny too.

3) Note to Self: Obviously, the most important thing in terms of the blog, and in terms of news. We have a drummer. Yes, read that again. Done? Okay, this is big news. His name is Tom Desrochers and we've practiced a few times with him and actually played one show over at Spring Arbor. And actually, we decided that his stage name will be Tom Flam, since that's a drumming term. Jason will henceforth be Jason Bridge, and I will be called Jason Schrader. And the band name will be Ben Erickson. No, actually, the best name we could come up with for me was Ben Capo, which is lame, as opposed to the other stage names, which clearly are sweet.
Anyway, you'll notice that Tom has yet to be added to the "About" section of the website. This is because we reserve the right to kick him out of the band in case he mouths off or tries to showboat during a show. Come on, Tom, don't you know this band is about US? Or wait, maybe I didn't add him yet because I'm lazy.

    FYI,

Tungsten Carbide is not a metal. It is a ceramic. However, your wedding-band is probably made of Tungsten-Carbide-Cobalt, a cermet (ceramic, metal-matrix composite).

    Oh snap....

wow, anonymous is pretty harsh...if I ever figure out who he (or she) is I'll help you beat him (or her) up.

BTW - That was a very politically correct comment wouldn't you say (besides the whole possibly hitting a girl thing)?
